Pebble Beach Seagull

In early June 2012, my daughter and I enjoyed a great weekend together in northern California, seeing some new-to-both-of-us sights all along the coast from Santa Cruz to Carmel that were so beautiful. We drove the gorgeous 17-Mile Drive at Pebble Beach, and even though it rained the entire time, I enjoyed it tremendously.

Pebble Beach Seagull

I never cease to be amazed at how often birds just seem to want to pose for pictures, especially seagulls. This lovely bird posed beautifully, despite the inclement weather which seemed to be more of a bother to me than the bird. Fortunately, the rain let up a bit as we stopped at this beautiful spot and allowed me to grab some nice photos to keep. And maybe it’s just me, but those look more like boulders than pebbles to me! đŸ˜‰

17-Mile Drive is a memorable thing to do for anyone in the area of Monterey and Carmel. I highly recommend it, rain or shine!
