Park De Las Palomas in Old San Juan

One of the most unexpectedly delightful places that we have visited in the past decade is Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.  We spent only a very short time in the old city in March 2007, both before and after our cruise that departed from the port on the island.  It was such a memorable experience, and Old San Juan is a place that we would love to return to and spend much more time exploring.  There is just so much to see and do there, but we did find time to take a great walking tour while we were there.

As we strolled around the old city on our walking tour, we came upon Parque De Las Palomas, or Pigeon Park.

Without a doubt, I have never seen so many pigeons in one place in my entire life!

Seeing famous Parque De Las Palomas was such a treat and just added to the wonderful ambiance of the old city.  If you visit, just watch where you sit and where you walk!  😉
